Al visitar Versalles con Lan, marzo de 2008 / On visiting Versailles with Lan, March 2008 – a poem in Spanish with English translation

Como fuente de aguas bailarinas
tú me encantas los sentidos,
tú me calmas las inquietudes.
Conociéndote yo puedo resistir
la cotidiana guillotina.
Contra días rebeldes eres mi amparo,
mi jardín de regocijo,
mi palacio de Versalles.
Pero tú, tú me das panes y pasteles
tanto inacabables.

(translation)

Like a fountain of dancing waters
you bewitch my senses,
you calm my worries.
Knowing you, I can resist
the guillotine of every day.
Against rebel days you are my fortress,
my garden of delight,
my palace of Versailles.
But you, you give me bread and cake
both without end.
