haiku – wanderlust

like small sailing ships
dry leaves floating in the pond
turn to catch the breeze

haiku

pale russet leaves furled
blown across paths   among reeds
time: swift as the wind

blue white dappled sky
trees beneath – green to yellow
Fall’s sweet wild palette

reverie while walking

in the rain I walk thinking of you
with its wet lips the rain kisses me
but it’s your kisses I feel
so light yet so unrestrained
the skies flash and I see the whiteness
of the inner sides of your thighs
then I hear the thunder of your delight
and your voice so sweet softly singing
cantilenas of I love you always!
rondeaux of Kiss me yet again!
couplets of Don’t stop!
in the rain sopping wet I walk
thinking  thinking always of you
then the sun comes shining through

haiku

harvest moon above
dark leaves touched with silver tints
each one’s fate: to fall

opacity

oh lovely woman walking
along the busy street:
even as you draw near
you catch not sight of me
nor otherwise sense me there

perhaps I’m like a tree obscured
or a rosebush wounded by its own thorns
or a lonely dove seeking its mate

but you woman walk still beautiful
along the busy street
and when you approach
you fail to see me in the light
nor sense me there at all

haiku – dementia

clouds go rolling by
clouds again go rolling by
clouds go rolling by
